ABOUT
FROM BUILDING ONLINE COMMUNITIES AND LAUNCHING SMALL BUSINESSES, TO ORGANIZING LARGE SCALE EVENT FESTIVALS, ANDREW M. ODOM SPECIALIZES IN GENERATING INTEREST AND BUILDING EXCITEMENT!
Over the past 20 years, I have had the great fortune of turning passion into a business. I have spent time rounding out my skills through photo production, content editing, photojournalism, corporate and private blogging, community management, project management, video creation and editing, social media managing, and traditional advertising, as well as online marketing. Simply put, I have spent 20 years learning to communicate and then helping those around me do the same.
In short, I strengthen human connection through:
- the printed word
- the photographic image
- the digital file
- the live event
I hold a Bachelors Degree from Florida State University, a Masters Degree from Regent University and over 20 years of professional experience that began as a column writer for Florida Heritage magazine in Tallahassee, FL. Shortly thereafter I co-founded OV CyberSolutions, Inc., a new media design company, in Norfolk, VA, where I began blogging and creating content through HTML hard-coding. Other career highlights include:
- Community Manager for Evoca, LLC based in Savannah, GA
- Online Managing Editor and Production Manager for SOUTH magazine, in Savannah, GA,
- Community Manager of MinuteFix, LLC based in San Jose, CA
- Managing Editor for Tiny House Magazine
- Founder of TinyHouseNC
- Editor of Turning Tiny
- Event Host of the 2017 TinyHouseNC Street Festival
In addition to countless blogs including Tiny House Blog, GRIT, Farmer’s Almanac, Tiny House Listings, and CNN, I have also had articles published in international publications including:
- RELEVANT Magazine
- Barnesville Herald-Gazette
- SOUTH magazine
- Small Town Living
- Kitchen Drawer
Other notable clients include Skype, anthropologie, Westin Savannah Harbor, Georgia Southern University, FringeNYC, Brostrick, Tiny House Living Festival, and The National Tiny House Jamboree.
When not developing interesting content or executing social strategy, I can be found on my family’s small homestead, playing outside with my daughter, or flirting with my wife!
